About
Sarah Rhodes specialises in photographing people in their own environments. She took a three-year journey photographing artists in their kitchens and studios, understanding what drives an artist. How do artists satisfy their appetite, how does creativity in the kitchen inspire their art. Her first book The Artist’s Lunch was published in October 2008 with writer Alice McCormick.
With a strong interest in art and documentary photography, Sarah developed her storytelling abilities while working over the last 12 years as a photojournalist for News Limited and Fairfax Media. Now Sarah is telling stories about museum collections using photography, video and writing at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Sarah continues to work as a freelance photographer and exhibits her work in galleries.
